Welcome to the Communion!

The Church is pleased to announce the incardination of the Most Reverend Raymond E. Sawyer into the Church. Bishop Sawyer’s reconciliation with the communion represents a profound step in bringing together those persons who have worked very diligently for decades to build a strong representation of the ICAN Communion here in the United States. Having lead the previous effort in the United States with “Igreja Católica Apostólica Nacional do Estados Unidos de América” (ICANUSA), as that church’s Prime Bishop and President, Bishop Sawyer is leading the way to reconciliation, and is now a Bishop of the Catholic Apostolic National Church, and in full communion with the Worldwide Communion of Catholic Apostolic National Churches (ICAN), and our Patriarch, Dom Luis Fernando Castillo Mendez. Although retired, Bishop Sawyer will serve as the Auxiliary Bishop to Archbishop Randolph A. Brown, in the Province of the Upper Midwest, and will lend his many decades of pastoral experience to the Church as a member of our College of Bishops.
